What can you expect this year?!? You can expect another week filled with introductions to new blogs, daily discussion topics, and a multitude of giveaways in addition to a bird’s eye view of Book Expo America itself! Last year, we boasted more than 50 sponsors, hosted 250+ giveaways thanks to those sponsors, had greater than 600 participants, and had an infinite amount of fun. You can expect all this and more in 2013!
In order to make this happen, organization and creative minds are needed behind the scenes and we are looking to add a few new bloggers to the team. If you are interested in joining us, please check out the position descriptions below and complete the corresponding application.
International Committee Liaison: BEA is an event primarily for those stationed in the US; however, book bloggers can be found around the globe sharing their passions online. Armchair BEA is a great way to connect our global friendships. The duty of this position would be to serve as a liaison to our international participants, to assist in soliciting international sponsorships, lead a Twitter party geared towards our international crowd, and to write an internationally focused guest post during the week of Armchair BEA. This may sound like a lot, but we do not expect you to do this alone! We encourage a committee to work with you!
Commenting Committee Co-Chairs (2): Part of the purpose behind Armchair BEA is to create connections that last all year. These connections begin by ensuring that all participants have commenters, encouraging their words and participation throughout the week. As Co-Chairs, you will solicit volunteers to serve as cheerleaders the week of the event, coordinate commenting teams, and assist in drawing daily commenting winners.
