For Day 3, we want you to share your positive experiences of using your blog to get involved in your community. This can involve partnerships with the local literary scene, attending author events and signings, or getting together with bloggers in your area. We want to hear it all!
Be sure to check back later this morning for a special guest post from three of Armchair BEA organizers to hear how they network in their community. And, speaking of networking, don't forget about Twitter party #2 today at 12:00 Noon-2:00 pm EST.
Link-up Example: "Name or Nickname" at "Blog Name"

ReplyDeleteI'm having such fun this week. The twitter party was fun, crazy, we all know how to talk!! See y'all soon.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I had a lot to offer on networking as I've not been to many events and I've only been blogging such a short time. But then when I stopped to think about it I had more to say than I first thought.
ReplyDeleteLooking at some of the posts I'm starting to realize that there are many routes I could have gone with this post. It's fun to see what everyone is up to outside of their blogs. =^.^=
ReplyDeleteI really hope I get the time right :)
ReplyDeleteOh this was such a tough topic! As I am definitely not a major IRL networker. But I tried to have fun with it. :) Can't wait to check out a few blogger's experiences!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the twitter party today everyone! :) I will be at work sadly. LOL

ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what everyone has to share, because I think this is a pretty interesting topic.
ReplyDeleteI had to go a little outside of the box with this one.
ReplyDeletePerhaps a little something to let my fellow bloggers I've been there, and I appreciate them, and then a little bit of a PSA for those who work with us awesome bloggers.
Saw the note on twitter to link the permalink not just the blog, thanks for the added info!
ReplyDeleteI just checked in my local Indie Bookseller Association - its regional and it would cost me $500 to attend their trade show. Love the idea though. Any tips on partnering with them?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great topic! I love sharing about things like this, and seeing all the positive experiences people have had show that us book bloggers are respected by some people.
ReplyDeleteThis topic was tough for me to write about, but I'm glad I did. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that there's no one set path -- there are so many different ways to explore the world of books. Great topic!
ReplyDeleteI'm late, but just finally came up with a networking post and combined it with Wahoo! Wednesday. Cheers!

ReplyDeleteGreat twitter party. While I'm active with my local library, I've never really thought about promoting my blog there.

ReplyDeleteI've been checking back all during the day to see if I need to make any more comments, but the Mr. Linky hasn't gone over 126 all day. Is it working?
ReplyDeleteKarin Perry ... I actually see the number at 210 when I look right now! I have fixed some duplicates and inappropriate links, so there may have been some changes in the numbering as well.
ReplyDeleteSo many great stories today! And I managed to comment on 45 blogs today. All my comments seemed to be longer today because I had so much to say about everyone's experiences!
ReplyDeleteMoving beyond the blog! Check out my thoughts at The Fuma Files - http://fumafiles.blogspot.com/2012/06/armchair-bea-day-4-beyond-blog.html
ReplyDeleteGreat posts all week from such fantastic book bloggers - you all rock =)
I apologize for being a day late on my posting for this topic, but grandkids are the only thing that trumps reading and talking about reading. I didn't think I'd have much to say on the topic of networking, but I found that it got me to thinking about the activities I do outside of online and, more importantly, what opportunities those activities could be for networking. I am so grateful to all those who have posted about this topic and now must go back and catch up on reading and learning from those posts.
ReplyDeleteI'm a day late too because I joined late. There are so many great stories and pieces of information to absorb. A great experience indeed. Glad I decided to do this.
