Let's Talk Networking: Participant Link-up

12:00 AM Tif Sweeney 43 Comments

Today is the day that we discuss networking.  Many of us bloggers network online.  Afterall, Armchair BEA is all about networking online, particularly with other bloggers.  However, how can you get more involved offline and in real life?  Have you ever wondered how some bloggers have established those connections with local bookstores or libraries or even beyond?

For Day 3, we want you to share your positive experiences of using your blog to get involved in your community.  This can involve partnerships with the local literary scene, attending author events and signings, or getting together with bloggers in your area.  We want to hear it all!

Be sure to check back later this morning for a special guest post from three of Armchair BEA organizers to hear how they network in their community.  And, speaking of networking, don't forget about Twitter party #2 today at 12:00 Noon-2:00 pm EST.

Link-up Example: "Name or Nickname" at "Blog Name"

  7. I didn't think I had a lot to offer on networking as I've not been to many events and I've only been blogging such a short time. But then when I stopped to think about it I had more to say than I first thought.

Perhaps a little something to let my fellow bloggers I've been there, and I appreciate them, and then a little bit of a PSA for those who work with us awesome bloggers.

  40. I apologize for being a day late on my posting for this topic, but grandkids are the only thing that trumps reading and talking about reading. I didn't think I'd have much to say on the topic of networking, but I found that it got me to thinking about the activities I do outside of online and, more importantly, what opportunities those activities could be for networking. I am so grateful to all those who have posted about this topic and now must go back and catch up on reading and learning from those posts.

  41. I'm a day late too because I joined late. There are so many great stories and pieces of information to absorb. A great experience indeed. Glad I decided to do this.
